"Featured" Volunteer Openings
« on: April 03, 2015, 10:32:51 PM »
I was wondering if there is any reasoning behind the "featured" volunteer openings on the Peace Corps website? Are those positions really needed, more difficult to fill, or is it just advertising? :)

I think those are the ones where volunteers are most needed.

A recruiter told me that they are a both where the most volunteers are needed and the more difficult to fill.

Yeah that makes sense. On positive note might be the best chance to get invited (less pool of applicants)

If you look into the Featured Openings you will typically find that these have more specific qualifications that are either required/desired for the position. This ultimately limits the number of qualified candidates thus making it difficult to fill.
