Definitely the washing machine. Washing clothes by hand sucks.

Also hot showers.

1. Definitely a washing machine!! I remember trying to explain the concept to some of my friends in Niger. Hahaha
2. Good food. Any food I want. Although choices are still overwhelming to me! Along with this, not having that undercurrent of fear every time I eat a vegetable that I will get sick.
3. Margaritas.
4. All the cheese!

1. Water - it comes out of the faucet every time.
2. Clean feet.
3. Heat in my house when it's cold outside.
4. Yes, the washing machine - although some, even one of the people posting here, bought them in their host country, and thus missed and valuable opportunity of bending over a large tub of water and relearning to wash your clothes - whites first, then lightly colored, then dark colors, Because you use the same water throughout the process.

I still get bored here at home but it is not an all inclusive boredom that is hard to escape when serving in a foreign land. I can go out and do things that I love (yard work, walk, just sit outside under a tree) and not get stared at or have pictures snapped of me.

Yet, I miss the simplicity of the people and country where I served. America is too fast paced. It can be cold and unfriendly.
